Core Knowledge
- LSMV was designated as an official Core Knowledge school by the national Core Knowledge Foundation in Charlottesville, Virginia in October, 2004. In addition, we were also designated as a visitation site for schools exploring possible participation in Core Knowledge. (www.coreknowledge.org)
- Core Knowledge is a solid, sequenced and shared core curriculum that helps children establish strong foundations of knowledge grade by grade. It emphasizes literacy in language arts, history, geography, math, science and the fine arts.
